If you are sad and lonely not knowing where to turn in your life, I can offer you no comfort at all unless you will put your trust in Jesus. A psychiatrist might offer you treatment and it may seem to help, but ultimately we have to face God and having learnt to love ourself we will fine that without Jesus that is no comfort at all and we will have to face ourselves as we are in our sin with no Saviour to wash us clean. It is no good getting ourselves mentally sorted if it only lasts for this life. We need to look towards the future and face the prospect of eternity. It will be no good at the end of time to say, "But I don't believe in eternity." The truth will be obvious and it will be too late. I do not hope to win the world over to my beliefs I just hope that some weary, lost little lamb will turn to Jesus and be saved. Is that lamb you? Jesus said of Himself, the Good Shepherd, " the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out."
First of all thanks to Fat Prophet for your interest. I see from your blog you are having trouble commenting. To get back to my assessed service. Criticism albeit constructive is harder for some to take than others. I felt a little crushed after my assessed service but then remembered I had recorded it on my dictaphone. I listened to it all through and although my assessors were quite right about me speaking a little quickly and rushing from item to item, I was actually very pleased with the content of my sermon and how I presented it. So I have decided to take heart. I highly recommend other trainees to record your services. You can hear your good points and your bad and there is no argument about it, it is all caught on the recorder.
