God appointed the preaching of His word as the means by
which sinners might be saved. Cafe church, fresh expressions and the like are a
way of spreading a different gospel which is none. If your heart is aching because you are
caught up in these things, but you see that the truth is not being expressed,
get out from under and leave these “churches” and God will bless you as you
cling to the Bible as your only means of knowing Him. I am finding a new found
freedom in talking over essential doctrines with people God puts in my path,
since I left the Methodist church. I am
even taking these truths to cafe church in another denomination. I look to God
alone for approval and He has taken my fear of man away. How foolish to fear
man instead of God almighty, but so often that is what we do.
When we lose a loved one it is natural to wonder how they are faring in the next life. I would warn against going to a medium to find out. At worst these people are charlatans after your money, the rest misguided or worse. We are told in the Bible not to try to reach the dead. The best person to call on in this situation is Jesus. That's right, go to the top. He is always available through prayer and doesn't make a charge. All he requires is that you look for him with all your heart. He has the answers to all of life's difficult questions.
