I said in my last post that God does not love everyone, but
I don’t know whom He loves and whom He does not, so it is my duty to treat all
as if He does love them, for surely I do not want to treat badly the ones He
loves. And so I want to tell all about the
salvation that is found in Jesus. Jesus told a story about a farmer who sowed
good seed on his land but later discovered that someone had sown weeds amongst
the wheat. His servants wanted to pull
up the weeds but as the weeds looked almost identical to the wheat the farmer
told them to leave them till the harvest, when the weeds could be pulled up and
burnt and the wheat harvested. He told them to treat the weeds and wheat the
same until harvest. So for fear of
damaging the wheat (those whom God loves) we must treat all the plants the
same. So preach the Good News wherever
you can.The most unlikely people can be loved by God.
First of all thanks to Fat Prophet for your interest. I see from your blog you are having trouble commenting. To get back to my assessed service. Criticism albeit constructive is harder for some to take than others. I felt a little crushed after my assessed service but then remembered I had recorded it on my dictaphone. I listened to it all through and although my assessors were quite right about me speaking a little quickly and rushing from item to item, I was actually very pleased with the content of my sermon and how I presented it. So I have decided to take heart. I highly recommend other trainees to record your services. You can hear your good points and your bad and there is no argument about it, it is all caught on the recorder.
