Yesterday we saw that our sin deserves God's wrath and punishment. Is there a way to avoid this? God has provided a way back to Him that makes us fit to be in His presence. We cannot make amends ourselves by doing good things. Nothing we can do will wipe out the sin within us. Salvation is a gift. We have to come to God on His terms. He has provided the only way back to Him. Jesus God's son who is also God the Son has paid the price for sin by giving His life on the cross. All who put their trust in Him and Him alone are brought back into God's favour. So God, who is the wronged party in that we have not loved Him as we should, is the very One who provides salvation for His children. As you read this you will either reject it or believe it. Jesus calls His sheep to follow Him and they hear His voice and follow. Read John 10.
First of all thanks to Fat Prophet for your interest. I see from your blog you are having trouble commenting. To get back to my assessed service. Criticism albeit constructive is harder for some to take than others. I felt a little crushed after my assessed service but then remembered I had recorded it on my dictaphone. I listened to it all through and although my assessors were quite right about me speaking a little quickly and rushing from item to item, I was actually very pleased with the content of my sermon and how I presented it. So I have decided to take heart. I highly recommend other trainees to record your services. You can hear your good points and your bad and there is no argument about it, it is all caught on the recorder.
