Disaster Coming

We are used to hearing that the end of the world is just around the corner. I have no trouble ignoring these warnings, after all Jesus said that no man knew when that would be, just the Father in heaven. However disaster is coming your way some time unless you put your trust in Jesus. God has provided the sacrifice of Jesus as the only way to have our sin forgiven and for us to be acceptable to God. You ignore this at your peril. One day the world will end, one day you will die. Put your trust in Jesus now. Once you do that no disaster can do you any permanent harm. Death will be just the gateway to everlasting life with our Creator whose love is so great for those who trust him.

At worst these people are charlatans after your money, the rest misguided or worse. We are told in the Bible not to try to reach the dead. The best person to call on in this situation is Jesus. That's right, go to the top. He is always available through prayer and doesn't make a charge. All he requires is that you look for him with all your heart. Persecution of the sick in Britain

The British government, through the benefits system is persecuting thousands of people who are not fit to work, giving them very skimpy benefits. People who are not able to work for health reasons are not able to stand up for themselves. The goverment will answer to God when the suicides happen. People were treated in this way back in the Old Testament. Then exile was the result for the perpetrators. Something equally as bad will happen to those in power today. The churches should be aware that there are people in need and set up soup kitchens for these people.Many are in this position through no fault of their own. They should be helped not looked down upon.

Persevering

Sometimes it's hard to keep going with something we have started. A little setback can get in the way of trying to do something good. I want these thoughts to touch your heart and make you think things through. However as I cannot tell if anyone has read them unless you comment, I get disheartened and feel I am a voice calling in the wilderness. But who can tell who might light upon this page and be really encouraged or helped in their journey of life. If only one person was helped it would all be worthwhile.
