Autumn is coming

In the Northern hemisphere the days are definitely becoming shorter. Here in Devon the dark is now arriving at about 8.30 p.m. We usually have a good bit of Indian Summer but there will be no light evenings until next year. Below is a link where you can see the colours of Autumn which we can expect a little later on. The photos here were taken in 2009 and 2010. Isn't it marvelous how the yearly cycle of seasons can be depended on to come and go. Our God is a great God and controls everything, we can depend on him for everything in life. Even the difficult things are there for our good, if we trust in him.

At worst these people are charlatans after your money, the rest misguided or worse. We are told in the Bible not to try to reach the dead. The best person to call on in this situation is Jesus. That's right, go to the top. He is always available through prayer and doesn't make a charge. All he requires is that you look for him with all your heart. He has the answers to all of life's difficult questions.

Persecution of the sick in Britain

The British government, through the benefits system is persecuting thousands of people who are not fit to work, giving them very skimpy benefits. People who are not able to work for health reasons are not able to stand up for themselves. The goverment will answer to God when the suicides happen. People were treated in this way back in the Old Testament. Then exile was the result for the perpetrators. Something equally as bad will happen to those in power today. The churches should be aware that there are people in need and set up soup kitchens for these people.Many are in this position through no fault of their own. They should be helped not looked down upon.

Persevering

Sometimes it's hard to keep going with something we have started. A little setback can get in the way of trying to do something good. I want these thoughts to touch your heart and make you think things through. However as I cannot tell if anyone has read them unless you comment, I get disheartened and feel I am a voice calling in the wilderness. But who can tell who might light upon this page and be really encouraged or helped in their journey of life. If only one person was helped it would all be worthwhile.
