Daily the Christian gospel is under attack. From where is this attack coming? From within. What is assumed to be the Christian Church, but no longer is, is breaking down the time honoured doctrines of the faith. Many of us still believe that we are saved by grace alone through faith alone, in Christ alone, but many are relentlessly chipping away at these wonderful doctrines. They say we will offend other "faiths", but the gospel of Jesus is there for all who will believe regardless of their ethnic origins. Jesus says to all who will believe,"Come unto me." It is not the other faiths we have to fear but those modernist infiltrators who have wormed their way into all denominations and chipped away at the foundations of our faith under the guise of making it easier for those outside to feel accepted. We are not in the business of making people feel comfortable in our churches, we should be preaching Jesus crucified which will indeed make people feel uncomfortable. Our salvation was bought about at a terrible cost, how dare we water it down and despise it.If you agree with me, stand up and be counted, fight back in your church meetings and stand for the truth.
There are two main types of depression, reactive, which is a reaction to your circumstances and endogenous, which is a part of your makeup and not entirely affected by your circumstances. I get the second type. When I am depressed I like to sleep a lot, this is probably not a good thing as depression can lift if you do not have extra sleep. It is all very well knowing that , but acting upon it is another thing. Exercise is also beneficial. Some sorts of depression can be lifted by taking these measures, but some people need medication. You need to get to know your doctor and develope a relationship with him/her where you feel you can trust their judgement. Do look for help as there are lots of possibilities out there. It is not good to spend long stretches of time on your own. Talking with other people will often help lift your spirits, especially if they are people who have gone through this experience themselves. Maybe you need to join a self help group.
