When it comes down to it abortion is humans killing a new precious little life. Many argue that the fetus, as they call it, and the baby,as I see it, is not viable until a certain stage. This is nonsense. The baby is designed to survive because it is in the protection of its mother's womb. Most abortions are intefering with this natural sequence of events that leads to the birth of a precious new child.
We are all conned by cries of,"What about the mother's rights?" The baby should have equal rights with the mother. Most abortions these days are not on medical grounds but because the mother wants a convenient life or she is frightened and not given the help she should be given to take another way forward in the situation. At one end of a hospital we have women having abortions and at the other women having fertility treatment. There are also far more people wanting to adopt than there are babies put up for adoption.
So called medical reasons for abortion include testing babies for tunnel vision which gradually worsens through life. These are precious people who can lead a very good life even in later years. I have a friend of 70 who has tunnel vision. She has enjoyed her life and is still very active and enjoys playing indoor bowls. The abortionists are saying that her life was not worth having.
Of course what really matters is not the mother's rights or even the baby's rights, but what God requires. God's law puts it like this,"Thou shalt not kill." We are required to go God's way.
Some people say that the Bible is full of terrible things, such as women with child being ripped open. This happens every day in our modern cruel world, but done under clinical conditions. We have made no progress since those biblical times.
One result of this slaughter of the innocents is that those reaching the end of life who never spoke out against abortion, are facing an old age where there are not enough younger people to care for them. What goes around comes around.
First of all thanks to Fat Prophet for your interest. I see from your blog you are having trouble commenting. To get back to my assessed service. Criticism albeit constructive is harder for some to take than others. I felt a little crushed after my assessed service but then remembered I had recorded it on my dictaphone. I listened to it all through and although my assessors were quite right about me speaking a little quickly and rushing from item to item, I was actually very pleased with the content of my sermon and how I presented it. So I have decided to take heart. I highly recommend other trainees to record your services. You can hear your good points and your bad and there is no argument about it, it is all caught on the recorder.
